Description
This is a new building with educational purposes located in Berga. The complex has 3 independent buildings, two of them only with ground floor where the gym, dressing rooms and cafeteria are located and the third one with 3 floors where the classrooms are located and also the administration offices and other educational spaces.
The buildings structural system is based on cross laminated timber (CLT) slabs and walls and, in particular positions, laminated timber beams and columns. The stairs are built with the same CLT panel system.
Due to the depth of the resistant soil layer, the building has two types of foundation; deep footings and diaphragm wall elements. All of them will be joined by a structural reinforced concrete slab.
Design made with BIM methodology. Winner in "La Nit de la Construcció 2019" - Innovation category.
