Description
The project of the new hospital in Mollet consists of a horizontal volume pierced by light shafts that adapts itself to the topography. In order to take advantage of the slope, the architects designed a staggered building, reducing its visual impact on the surroundings.
The building seeks to minimize its footprint by projecting outward as a horizontal building. The main access square is sheltered under the building creating a large public communication area. Nominated for the European Union Prize Mies Arch 2011
