Description

The object of the project is to design and calculate the structure of new Natura Bissé headquarters, which integrates all the company activities, from production and logistics to the administration and business development. This building is located in the growing area of ”Parc de l'Alba” in Cerdanyola del Vallès.

A complex structure

It is a rectangular floor plan building with four storeys on sloping ground and two basement floors. The structure is varied and complex, due to the different uses that the building will have to accommodate. In general, it is formed by concrete slabs with large spans to guarantee the flexibility and versatility of the building's spaces. Slabs are supported with concrete columns inside the building and an exterior peristyle of steel columns on each floor. The foundations are shallow and formed by isolated footings and peripheral containment diaphragm walls.

The project is abundant in large cantilevers, shoring columns, and double and triple heights that are solved by steel-concrete mixed structures of and post-stressed concrete.
