Description
The new Loewe Centre of Excellence is located in Getafe, within the Tecnogetafe Technology Park. The building reflects the client’s desire to centralise R&D processes for leather goods and marroquinerie in a new headquarters that combines innovation and sustainability.
Structural design
The complex occupies a plot of over 52,000 m², with a built area of 24,359 m² and 30,524 m² of urbanised space.
The structural system, designed by bis, stands out for its intensive use of laminated timber in the main and secondary vaults, offering an open, warm, and resource-efficient space. Its modular design and off-site prefabrication ensure both high quality and speed of construction. The applied solutions also include metal structures for technical and logistics areas, and CLT slabs for mezzanines.
The building integrates highly sustainable construction solutions, such as the reduction of embodied carbon through the use of wood, prefabricated modular structures, and canopies with integrated photovoltaic panels. Altogether, the centre stands as a benchmark in technical innovation and architectural excellence.
