Description
The purpose of the project is the extension of the surgical block of the Hermanos Trias i Pujol Hospital, located in the city of Badalona, at the foot of the Sierra de la Marina.
Location and design
The new building is situated between the hospital and a recently built multipurpose building, with an east-facing facade offering views of the cityscape, the mountains, and the sea. The project includes the construction of four operating rooms, a post-anesthesia care unit (PACU), a semicritical area, a necropsy room, and a pathology laboratory.
Innovation and sustainability
The project is executed collaboratively using the LEAN CONSTRUCTION methodology, ensuring efficiency and quality at every stage. Additionally, it features a 160 kW photovoltaic installation on the roof, promoting energy sustainability within the hospital environment.
