David graduated in Architecture at the Vallés Technical School of Architecture (ETSAV) of the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC) in 1990 and in 2015 he obtained the title of Doctor of Architecture from the same university by presenting his Doctoral Thesis "Urban Excavation and neighbouring buildings".

In 1990, together with Gemma Masip, he founded Bis structures and since then he has held the position of Technical Director and CEO.

In the course of his career he has combined structural design and analysis with academic and associative activities. After having been director of the Department of Physics and Architectural Structures at the Universitat Internacional de Catalunya (UIC), he is now Serra Hunter Lecturer in the Department of Technology in Architecture at the UPC, where he also directs the master’s degree in "Structural Engineering in Architecture" at the Fundació Politècnica de Catalunya.

He founded the Institute of Structural Studies (IEE) and is a founding member of the Catalan Wood Institute (INCAFUST), where he directed the research and development area.

Until 2019 and for two consecutive periods of 4 years each, he was president of the Association of Structural Consultants in Catalonia (ACE), contributing to the professionalisation of the guild in the sector.

In his almost 40 years of professional experience, he has more than 5000 projects located in different parts of Europe, Latin America, North Africa and the Middle East.

He has also won numerous awards and recognitions, including the ACE 2014 and ACE 2019 awards for the best structure of the Mercat Fondo multifunctional building and for the Corporate Headquarters of Natura Bissé respectively; the nomination for the European Union Prize Mies van der Rohe for the Hospital de Mollet in 2011; the FAD International award for the Hospital Puyo in Ecuador in 2014; the Premi Bonaplata 2015 in the category of restoration for the Depósito de Can Bioada; and the finalist award at the Advanced Architecture Awards 2021 awarded by REBUILD in the category of "Product, Material or System Innovation" with the Holedeck Post-tensioned System in an office building in the 22@ district of Barcelona.

He is a permanent member of the Management Committee and the Board of Directors of the company.

Gemma graduated in Administration and Management of Public Companies from the International University of Catalonia (UIC).

In 1990, together with David Garcia, she founded Bis structures, where for 20 years she held the position of Financial Director, carrying out planning, asset and liability management and strategic advice on the company's different projects.

In parallel to her role at Bis, she has developed her professional career in the administrative services of the Vallés Technical School of Architecture (ETSAV) of the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC), where she headed the school's international relations department.

She is a permanent member of the company's board of directors.

Xavi holds a degree in Industrial Engineering from the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC). Specialised in the design, calculation and management of MEP engineering works for building installations, he has more than 20 years of professional experience in installations consultancy.

As team leader, he has managed more than 300 projects of all architectural typologies, from housing to hospitals, hotels and offices at national and international level for both the public administration and the private market, adding a wide experience in all types of systems, especially in air conditioning systems and nearly-zero consumption buildings.

Internationally, he has led and carried out projects in countries such as Tunisia, Algeria, Azerbaijan and Switzerland.

In the course of his career, he has combined the design and analysis of MEP engineering with academic and associated activities. Since 2002 he has been an associate lecturer in MEP engineering design and final degree projects at the School of Architecture of the International University of Catalonia (UIC). He is also a member of the teaching team of the UPC's Postgraduate in Circular Economy and of various professional courses organised by the Association of Quantity Surveyors of Barcelona (APABCN), the Association of Architects of the Balearic Islands (COAIB), the Association of Industrial Engineers and the SERT school on issues related to installations and renewable energies.

He was president of the Association of Installation Consultants (ACI) for 4 years and is currently an active member.

In 2022, together with David Garcia, he founded Bis systems, the MEP engineering company of Bis, where he is currently the Technical Director. He is a permanent member of the company's production committee and management committee.

Maite holds a degree in Engineering from the Barcelona School of Industrial Engineering (ETSEIB) of the Technical University of Catalonia (UPC) and a PDD from IESE 2016. Specialised in structural mechanics, she has developed her entire professional career in the field of building engineering.

She began her professional career as a structural consultant in a well-known integrated engineering company in Barcelona. After 11 years developing structural projects, she decided to redirect his professional career towards business management. To this end, she joined Bis structures as its sales manager in 2007. The severe crisis that affected the sector between 2008 and 2014 increased the company's strategic activity and, with it, her participation in its management.

In 2014 she was appointed managing director of the company. In the initial stage, she structured the company in its positioning as a leading structural engineering company in the national market, tripling the turnover in 5 years. Since 2021 she has been leading the transformation to the integrated engineering that it is Bis today.

She is a permanent member of the Production Committee, the Management Committee and the Board of Directors of the company.

Amparo holds a degree in Building Engineering from the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC). Specialised in the design, calculation and construction management of architectural structures, as well as in the diagnosis and restoration of buildings of different uses, she has more than 16 years of professional experience in the field of structural consultancy in building.

As team leader of Bis structures she has managed more than 200 projects in all areas of building for both the public administration and the private market. Her career as a restoration project manager has allowed her to lead projects and manage works on heritage buildings, both nationally and internationally.

Internationally, she has led and carried out projects in Angola and Algeria, and technical inspections of buildings in Paris, London and Venice.

Collaborator as a regular teacher of the course "Calculation of Structures in Restoration" in the class "Ceramic slabs and laps" of the Sert School of the Architects' Association of Catalonia (COAC) and in the "Postgraduate course in Restoration" of the Sert School of Barcelona.

She is also currently responsible for the production area of Bis and is a permanent member of the company's production committee and management committee.

Andrea is a Civil Engineer from the Universidad de Los Andes (ULA) and PMP certified by the PMI® in 2015. She has more than 17 years of experience in both construction and business development in the construction sector, achieving satisfactory results and increasing the company's revenues and positioning.

She has developed and managed client portfolios in various sectors, such as infrastructure, construction, investment, marketing, telecommunications and sporting events, both nationally and internationally. In addition, she has led on-site construction and sales teams, demonstrating excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including skilful conflict management.

Since 2016, she has been responsible for business development at Bis, leading the company's growth strategy, managing to triple revenues in 5 years. She has the ability to operate in technical and commercial environments to consolidate, identify and develop genuine relationships that lead to opportunities, acting as the primary contact, between customers and internal teams to ensure the success of the service.

Currently, she is also responsible for the Bis marketing area and is a permanent member of the company's production committee and management committee.

Marina is a Technical Architect from the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC). Specialised in the design, calculation and construction management of new architectural structures, she has more than 23 years of professional experience in the field of structural consultancy in building.

As team leader of Bis she has managed more than 600 projects in all areas of building construction for both the public administration and the private market, in the national and international market, with extensive experience in concrete, steel, timber, post-tensioned concrete, prefabricated and 3D industrialised structures.

Internationally, she has led and carried out projects in countries such as Ecuador, Equatorial Guinea, Angola, Morocco, Algeria and Cameroon.

She is a regular lecturer on the master’s degree in Structural Engineering" at the UPC and on the "Postgraduate Degree in restoration" at the Sert School in Barcelona,

She is also currently responsible for the training area of Bis and is a permanent member of the company's production committee.

Miguel graduated in Civil Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Madrid in 1992. Subsequently. In 2000, he obtained a Doctorate in Technical Sciences from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Lausanne and in 2018 he completed the General Management programme at the IESE Business School of the University of Navarra.

His professional career combines technical project development and management with strategic direction and university academic management. He has sound technical knowledge in the field of structural engineering of bridges and buildings.

He excels in strategic planning, team and project management and solving complex technical problems requiring innovative solutions that include improving business performance. His professional experience in Switzerland and his fluency in English, French and Spanish enable him to work in leading projects and teams where different professions and cultures need to be managed.

Since 2022 he has been the Director of the Bis Madrid Office and is a permanent member of the company's Production Committee and Management Committee.

Marta holds a degree in Architecture from the Vallés School of Architecture (ETSAV) of the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC). She is a specialist in the design, calculation and construction management of building structures with more than 21 years of professional experience in the field of building structures consultancy.

As team leader, she has managed more than 350 projects in all areas of building construction for both the public administration and the private market, in the national and international market, with extensive experience in concrete, steel and timber structures, as well as large span post-tensioned and prefabricated structures.

Internationally, she has led and carried out projects in countries such as Algeria, Morocco, Tunisia, Azerbaijan, Poland, Switzerland, Peru and Russia.

In 2015 she collaborated in the COAC's postgraduate course "Hospital Architecture in the 21st century" and in 2020 she won the European WICE Awards as Best Structural Engineer.

She is also currently responsible for Bis' research area and is a permanent member of the company's production committee.

She collaborates as a teacher of the course "Calculation of Structures in restoration" in the class "Damage Mechanisms" of the Sert School of the Architects' Association of Catalonia (COAC) and in the "Postgraduate in restoration" of the Sert School of Barcelona.

Since 2021 she has been a team leader at Bis.

She is also currently responsible for the quality area at Bis and is a permanent member of the company's production committee.

Susana holds a degree in Architecture from the Vallés Technical School of Architecture (ETSAV) of the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC). Specialised in environmental architecture and sustainable urban planning, she has more than 25 years of professional experience.

She has extensive experience in the preparation of feasibility analyses and determination of objectives for real estate operations, as well as in the development of building, urban planning, urbanisation, interior design, renovation and restoration projects, with more than 200 examples in her project portfolio.

She has carried out projects for both the public administration and the private market, in all phases of the project and the work, from the conceptual phases of the project, the management of procedures and applications with different bodies affected by the intervention, the development of the execution project to the supervision of the work carried out on site.

Since 2018 she has led the architecture team at Bis.

Vanessa graduated in Psychology at the University of Barcelona (UB), and later specialised in practical accounting at the Centre for Financial Studies in Barcelona.

For 16 years she worked as a sales administrator for a renowned architectural firm in Barcelona, where she acquired knowledge of the building sector in her field. During these years she developed skills in the preparation of administrative documentation for public and private tenders, budgets and visas. In addition, she was in charge of the administrative management of the company, including invoicing, collections, relations with suppliers, among others.

Since 2022 she has been responsible for administration and accounting at Bis.
